Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using the Wholeheart Psychology website (“Site”), operated by Dr. Stephanie Hartman, PsyD (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our Site.
Website Purpose
This website is intended to provide general information about Wholeheart Psychology, the services we offer, and to facilitate communication between our practice and current or prospective clients. The content on this Site is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
No Therapeutic Relationship
Use of this website, including submitting contact forms, intake paperwork, or any other communication through the Site, does not establish a therapist-client relationship. A therapeutic relationship is only formed upon mutual agreement, completion of the informed consent process, and the commencement of treatment.
Not a Substitute for Emergency Services
This website is not intended for use in crisis or emergency situations. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
Online Forms and Submissions
Our Site provides online forms for intake information, consent, and general inquiries. By submitting information through these forms, you acknowledge that:
- The information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
- You are the parent or legal guardian of any minor whose information you submit, or have legal authority to do so
- While we use security measures to protect transmitted data, no internet transmission is guaranteed to be 100% secure
- Form submissions do not guarantee an appointment or acceptance as a client
- Sensitive or urgent matters should be communicated by phone rather than through online forms
Payment and Fees
Wholeheart Psychology is a private pay practice. We do not accept insurance directly. Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. We provide superbills upon request that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and is determined by your individual insurance plan.
Cancellation Policy
Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) and missed appointments (“no-shows”) may be subject to a fee. This fee is not reimbursable by insurance. We understand that emergencies occur and will address such situations on a case-by-case basis.
Telehealth Services
Telehealth services are provided through a HIPAA-compliant video platform. By participating in telehealth sessions, you acknowledge the inherent limitations and risks of technology-based services, including potential interruptions, technical difficulties, and security risks. Dr. Hartman is licensed to provide telehealth services in New York and New Jersey. Clients must be physically located in one of these states during telehealth sessions.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, and design elements, is the property of Wholeheart Psychology and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this Site without our prior written consent.
Third-Party Links
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources for informational purposes. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.
Disclaimer of Warranties
This website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Information provided on this Site, including resources and reading recommendations, is for general informational purposes and should not replace professional consultation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wholeheart Psychology and Dr. Stephanie Hartman shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use this website or reliance on any information provided on the Site.
